It’s Game Time Again

Each sport season we are faced with a new set of stumbling blocks to student success because of team practice and game schedules. Coaches and teachers want to keep their valuable players as active participants on their teams. Any time during the school year I get called by a parent who has a child playing a sport and failing a major subject. A failing grade puts their participation at risk, but the problem is they cannot find time to get tutoring help because of the time commitment to the team. Flexibility is the key here. The coach is driven by a very tight availability schedule so that responsibility falls to the tutor. At Learning Achievement Center we can adjust and vary our student’s schedules to accommodate sports obligations. College scholarships may be dependent on both good academics and good sports participation so we must make both work together.
