Learning Achievement Center is the oldest center-based tutoring facility on the North Shore. Learning Achievement Center believes that students learn best when they learn in a real learning environment. Since 1975 Learning Achievement Center, located in a former school building, has offered an impressive, award winning, variety of educational programs in math, reading, chemistry, physics, study skills, and SSAT/SAT/ACT/HSPT Test prep. We provide after school and summer educational support to local students. We are not a tutoring mill. All tutoring is done at our center by experienced local teachers. We do not tutor in your home, our home or the library. Our tutoring is not a canned program designed by someone in a faraway place. Tutoring is linked to what is actually being taught in the classroom for maximum effectiveness.
What are the hours of operation a Learning Achievement Center?
Learning Achievement Center operates Monday through Thursday and Saturday during the school year. Our Summer schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday. All tutoring is on a pre scheduled basis. Call 781-631-5354 for available days and times.
Where is Learning Achievement Center located?
We are located inside the Star of the Sea Parish Center at 80 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead. This facility is a former parochial school so it is a secure building with controlled entrances. All tutoring takes place in our center. We do not tutor in our home, your home, or the library.
How long are the tutoring sessions?
All sessions are 90 minutes long unless otherwise required.
What is the cost for tutoring at Learning Achievement Center?
Tutoring is based on a block of 8 sessions of 90 minutes each. The cost for a block of subject tutoring is $799.00. SAT/ACT/SSAT/HSPT/ test prep courses are $1140.00 each. All tutoring and test prep courses include books, practice tests, and materials. Payment plans are available upon request with Director approval.
What Is Learning Achievement Center missed session policy?
Life happens so we accommodate a student’s changing schedule. We adjust schedules as needed for sports or other extra-curricular activities so students do not have to give up something they love. Students will be allowed to make-up two (2) missed sessions in each 8 session block of time with 24 hour notice. There is no fee for cancellations/make-ups made with 24 hour notice. Additional missed session make-ups will be at the discretion of the Director.
